FAQWhat is AnyClient? AnyClient is a web based service designed to provide users with a file transfer client that requires no installation, is multi-platform and can connect to servers using various protocols including FTP, FTPS, SFTP and WebDAV. AnyClient may also be downloaded and run locally. See Download section for available installers. Is this application free? Yes. Use of the AnyClient service and downloadable application is available free of charge. Where can I get a secure FTP account? MFTExpress offers secure file transfer accounts supporting FTPS, SFTP, HTTPS and WebDAV protocols. Are sites I connect to saved? Only if you want them to be. AnyClient can store a site profile of the sites you connect to locally on your computer. This way the next time you load AnyClient you can quickly connect to any saved site profile. Is AnyClient secure? Yes. You may safely run AnyClient on your computer without any fear of virus or spyware. AnyClient supports several secure protocols which encrypt your data during transit including FTPS (FTP over SSL), SFTP/SSH and secure WebDAV via HTTPS. Can you or other users see the sites that I connect to? No. All site profile information is saved locally on your computer and cannot be seen by users other than yourself. I want to use this applet on my own website, how can I do this? The AnyClient service uses the Secure FTP Applet product offered by JSCAPE. To use Secure FTP Applet on your own site you may purchase a license. Do you have a downloadable version that I can install on my desktop? Yes. Please click on the Download tab to view available installers for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X platforms. Who can I contact for technical support? JSCAPE offers the AnyClient Single User Annual Support service for $49.00/year. This subscription entitles you to 1 year of free technical support from date of purchase. Technical support questions may be submitted to the Help Desk for a prompt reply. Please note that you must have a current subscription in order to receive support. I need a FTP server, where can I get one? JSCAPE offers both free and commercial editions of it's JSCAPE Secure FTP Server application which supports FTP/S, SFTP, HTTP/S and WebDAV file transfer protocols. If you don't wish to run your own server consider using MFTExpress services. |
